A resident of Slaughter, he passed away Friday August 24, 2012 at 3:51 pm at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 67. Being in the transmission business for 52 years, he was the owner of Louisiana Transmission for the past 38 years. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home 5:009:00, Sunday August 26, and on Monday from 9:00 until religious services at 11:30 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Dennis Allen. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his Wife of 47 years, Ruby Crowder, daughter, Lori Johnson and Husband Paul, son, Ed Crowder III and wife Sherry, sister, Sandra Lanclos, brothers Ronnie Crowder and Duane Strain, sistersinlaw Emily Crowder and Shirley Mullins and husband Buddy. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Hunter Crowder, Zachary Johnson, Trent Crowder and Lauryn Elizabeth Johnson He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Crowder Sr. and Mary McLin Crowder and a brother, Ralph Crowder. Serving as pallbearers will be Duane Strain, Hunter Crowder, Zachary Johnson, Trent Crowder, Darron Mullins and Louis Campanile
