William E. Story, 97 years old, a resident of Denham Springs and native of Marlow, Tx. William went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 24, 2013 at his residence. William honored his country by serving in the US Army during WWII. He was a proud member of VFW POST 7017, Denham Springs. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
William is survived by his daughter, Linda Story Hulin and her children, Lenes T. Hulin, Jr., Lindsey Janelle Hulin, Jeffrey Bryan Hulin son, Bobby J. Scott and children, Bobby J. Scott, Jr., Brenda Joy Scott, Bryan James Scott stepdaughters, Gaynell Rhodes, Wanda Sue Daigle, Lorraine Knight stepson, Michael Thomas and Rodney Thomas. William is also survived by his nieces, Dolly Story Mullins and Martha Jane Story.
William is preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Mae Story. He later married again and was preceeded in death by his second wife, Wanda Knight Story. He is also preceeded in death by his sons, Leamond Scott and Paul M. Scott daughter, Geraldine Brown stepson, Bruce Thomas and two brothers, Alvin Story and Virgil Story.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker La. 70714, Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting will continue Friday, January 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Drake will officiate the services and the interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
