A retired electrical engineer with Channel 2 and a resident of Baker, he passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Hospice of Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit. He was 85, a native of Terry, MS and a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 11am until religious services in the chapel at 2pm. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by a daughter and soninlaw, Peggy Mike Waldrop of Baton Rouge a son, Drewy Hollingsworth of Oxnard, CA a brother, John Carroll Hollingsworth of Baker five grandchildren, Michelle Waldrop Smith of New Caney, TX, Melissa Waldrop Primes of Denham Springs, Monica Waldrop of DeLand, FL, Donald Hollingsworth of Oxnard, CA, and Michelle Hollingsworth of TX and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hollingsworth his parents, Ella Mae Bennett and W.W. Hollingsworth Sr and sisterinlaw, Joann Hollingsworth. Bill loved music, and enjoyed working on ceramics.
