Willard "Bubbie" Gunter

Willard "Bubbie" Joseph Gunter, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on November 21, 1940, in Alexandria, LA, Bubbie was the son of the late Frank and Sara Belle Gunter. He resided in Denham Springs, LA at the time of his passing.

Bubbie was known for his hard work and dedication as a Pipe Fitter for 30 years with Boh Bros. and Local Union 198. As a high school graduate and a wealth of experience, he was recognized as a skilled professional in his field. Bubbie's commitment to his work was matched only by his love and devotion to his family.

He is survived by his loving 3 sons, Willard "Pat" Gunter (Dawn), Bubba Joe Gunter, and Stanley Wayne Gunter; 4 daughters, Sherrie Gunter, Bridget Decote, Raven Gunter, and Kim Gunter; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Willard's warm presence and kind-hearted nature will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sons, Frank Gunter and James Robert Gunter.

To honor Bubbie's life and celebrate his legacy, Funeral Services have been planned. The Public Viewing will be held at Baker Funeral Home on August 31, 2023, at 9:00 am. The Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 am at Baker Funeral Home, with a Graveside Service following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA.

The Gunter family extends their gratitude to all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Willard "Bubbie" Joseph Gunter.

May Bubbie's soul find eternal peace as he is laid to rest at the burial site located at 6213 Groom Road, Baker, LA 70714. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and his legacy shall live on.
