BRIGNAC, W. F.
A resident of Central and a native of French Settlement, LA, he died at Lane Regional Medical Center on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the age of 83. He was a retired operator who worked for the Ethyl Corporation for 35 years and a U. S. Navy WWII veteran who participated in the invasion of Iwo Jima. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 58pm, and on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 8am until religious services in the chapel at 10am, conducted by Rev. Steve Leonard and Rev. Garland Brignac, his nephew. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by wife of 60 years, Helen Bass Brignac of Central a daughter and soninlaw, Deborah husband, Jon Hill of Cleburne, TX a son and daughterinlaw, Jeffrey wife, Paula Brignac of Central four grandchildren, LeighTherese Ted Smith, Laurie Hill, and Katie Kodi Brignac. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Anita Brignac a sister, Anita Corinne Brignac, and a brother, Oscar Joseph Brignac. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Masonic Lodge.
