Wayne Landry

Wayne "Dude" Joseph Landry, 64 years old, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 11, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on January 25, 1954, born to Laura and Sabin Landry, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a faithful member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Wayne worked at Georgia Pacific for 40 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, metal detector, golfer and loved the outdoors.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie Daigle Landry; 2 sons, Kyle J. Landry and Adam W. Landry; daughter, Alicia Landry Gills and husband Terry "TJ" Gills II; 4 grandchildren, Ava Landry, Hoytt Gills, Gavin and Nora Landry; 4 sisters, Darla and Jimmy Johnson, Linda and Bill Stubbs, Nancy Ferguson, and Lisa Landry; father-in-law, Joe Daigle; mother-in-law, Pearl Daigle; sister-in-law, Kathryn Landry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Sabin Landry; mother, Laura Landry; and brother, Dennis Landry.

Pallbearers will be Lance Stubbs, Darren Stubbs, Tim Soileau, Thomas Givens, Aaron Daigle, and Cody Gregoire

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, 4950 Essen Ln, Baton Rouge 70809.
