V.L. Lavergne

V.L. Lavergne, 80 years old, beloved, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 30, 2021. He entered this world on April 8, 1940, born to Marie and Elzia Lavergne, in Church Point, LA. V.L. honorably served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He served the community through Boys Scouts and Cub Scouts for many years.

V.L. is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Hebert Lavergne; sons, Kenneth Lavergne and wife, Christine and Daniel Lavergne and wife, Deanee; daughter in laws, Karen Lavergne and Carole Lavergne; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way; 4 brothers; 6 sister; and a host of nieces and nephews.

V.L. is preceded in death by his father, Elzia Lavergne; mother, Marie Majorie Perry Lavergne; stepmother, Thelma Lavergne; sons, Keith Lavergne and Brian Lavergne; grandson, Kadence Lavergne; 1 brother; and 1 sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Friday, February 05, 2021, from 12:00 PM until the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.
