Virginia Pursley

A former sitter and a resident of Zachary, she passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Lane Regional Medical Center. She was 90, and a native of Healton, Oklahoma. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Eddie White. Interment to follow in Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. Survived by two daughters and a soninlaw, Janice Broussard, and Connie and Jim ODonnell a sister, Maxine Cornish five granddaughters, Lisa Moffat and husband, David, Lynn Broussard, Laura Broussard, Kerri ODonnell, and Kelly ODonnell eight greatgrandchildren, Robyn Waldon, Charles Chip Hathcox, Lacie Graham, Paige Reese, Cassidy Dupuy, Nikolas Kesler, Hunter Dupuy, and Andrew Eriksen and six great, great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dick Pursley three brothers, Wilton Cornish, Billy Sonny Boy Cornish, and infant brother, Howard Cornish soninlaw, James Broussard sister and brotherinlaw, Geraldine and Clyde Hoover and parents, Hettie and Earl Cornish. Pallbearers are David Moffat, Chip Hathcox, Brent Waldon, Shannon Graham, Phillip Eriksen, and Brent and Jason Mouton. Virginia was a member of South Baton Rouge Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting and raising birds. Special thanks to the staffs of Lane Nursing Home and Lane Regional Medical Center and especially to Dr. Donnie Batie.
