Verna Clark

Verna Miller Clark, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 11, 2015 at her residence.

Verna was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Amite Baptist Church and a former member and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Baker.

Verna is survived by her loving husband, Omer Clark; 5 daughters, Hershey Ann Seals (Baker, LA), Sue Juneau and husband Pete (Lafayette, LA), Jeanette Guerin and husband Ken (Denham Springs, LA), Peggy Quinn and husband Walter (Lucedale, MS), and Sandra Garantine and husband Davie (Ethel, LA); 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 3 nieces; and 1 nephew.

Verna is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Annie Miller; previous husband, Urshell Clark; son, Wayne Clark; and 2 sisters, Elma Brakefield and Zelda Nelson.

Family request visiting hours to be observed on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd, Baker, LA. Visiting hours will resume on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Amite Baptist Church, 7100 Amite Church Rd, Denham Springs, LA, with a Funeral Service at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
