A resident of Baton Rouge, Vallie Rhee passed on to Heaven on Wednesday, August 03, 2011 at 2am at Lane Regional Medical Center. She was 89 and a native of McComb, MS. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 48pm. Visiting at Foster Road Baptist Church, 11333 Foster Road, Baton Rouge, on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 9am until religious services at 10am, conducted by Rev. Huey Moak and Rev. Mike Morris. Interment to follow in Blackwater United Methodist Church Cemetery. Survived by a son and daughterinlaw, Marty and Paula Blair of Baton Rouge a step son and step daughterinlaw, Vaughn and Edith Blair of Walker a brother, Maurice Sonny Bailey of Baton Rouge three grandchildren, Jeremy Blair and wife Mackenzie, Dawson Blair, and Jason Blair and two great grandchildren, Josie Rhee Blair and Amos Blair. Preceded in death by her husband, Otto S. Blair two sisters, Ettie Mae Bailey and Ella Nean Bailey two brothers, W.M. Bill Bailey Jr. and Edwin Bailey and her parents, W.M. Will Bailey Sr. and Vallie Lee Bailey. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a member of Foster Road Baptist Church, and loved camping and exploring the national parks.
