Thomas Alton Morgan, 80 years old, beloved Father, Husband, and Grandfather was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on June 7, 1940, born to Merle and Alton Morgan, in Amite County, MS. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Baker, Louisiana. He graduated from Istrouma High School in 1958. He enjoyed spending time with his family, no matter if it was with his wife, children, grandchildren, or the whole extended family at all the family reunions they had. He always enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or hiking in the mountains. When Thomas was 60 years old, he got his pilot's license and was a private pilot for many years after that, he loved to fly! In his younger years he played guitar in a band until he started a family, but he always shared his love of music.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pansy Avara Morgan; daughters, Lisa Morgan Zumo (Michael) and Michelle Morgan; grandchildren, Hannah Zumo, Heather Zumo, Heidi Zumo, Chandler Beaman, and Brock Beaman; brother, Frank Morgan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Alton Morgan; mother, Merle Morgan; and son, Stephen Eugene Morgan.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the memorial service at 11:00 AM conducted by Reverend Jay Avance.
