Thomas Mahan, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother was called to his eternal resting place on September 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on November 30, 1946 born to Russell and Mary Jane Mahan in Baton Rouge, LA. He retired as the Chief Building Inspector with The City of Baker. He proudly served his country in the US Army Reserve and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Mahan; daughter, Michelle Deselle-Thomas; son, Scott Mahan; 3 grandchildren, Kristin Richard, Corey Richard and Devin Deselle; 4 great-grandchildren, Noah Dozier, Avery Dozier, Karley Dozier and Emily Dozier; and sister, Linda Holt-Thomas.
Thomas is preceded in death by parents, Russell and Mary Jane Mahan and a brother, Harold Mahan.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend John Thomas.
