On Friday, June 29, 2012 Thomas A. Booker, Jr., age 86 went home to meet the Lord in the presence of his loving family. He native of Bluff Creek and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be 2:005:00 with Masonic services at 3:00 on Sunday July 1st 2012 at Baker Funeral Home and on Monday July 2nd 1:002:00 with religious services at 2:00 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Dennis Allen. Interment is to follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Clinton. He is survived by wife Irene A. Booker, sister Annie Mae McMillan, daughters Florence husband Milton Baker, Marilyn husband Paul Crochet six grandchildren, Daron Beaux Baker wife Shelly, Gaela Entremont husband Joey, Paula Miley husband Bill, Randy Crochet fiance Toni Lawton, Stefanie Campbell boyfriend Jimmy Matherne, and Samantha Campbell seven great grandchildren, Meighan, Alex, Justin, Allie, Wyatt, Cam, and Chloe and one greatgreat grandchild Breleigh. Pallbearers are Randy Crochet, Daron Baker, Joey Entremont, Justin Entremont, Alex Baker, and Jimmy Matherne. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed life to the fullest. Alex was an avid outdoorsman, Marine WWII Veteran, retired Exxon security guard, member of First Baptist Church of Baker and Trinity Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas A. Booker, Sr. and Johnnie H. Booker brother Advil Booker, and daughter Alexis B. Campbell. Contributions may be made to charity of choice.
