Theresa Cress

Theresa Jean Picard Cress, 55 years old, beloved Wife and Mother was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on April 7, 1966, born to Elsie Bass Picard and Willie Picard, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a longtime member of Louisiana Educators Association, and a 4th grade teacher at Central Intermediate School.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, John Alan Cress; daughter, Reagan Mattie Cress; sister, Lisa Benson and husband, William; brother, James Picard and wife, Lisa; nieces, Jackie Powers and Brandi Picard Schmit; along with her other nieces and nephews.

Theresa is preceded in death by her father, Willie James Picard; and mother, Elsie Bass Picard.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Jeff Lee. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, Louisiana.
