Thelma Socha

A native of Calcasieu Parish and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away at 8:10am on Wednesday, December 01, 2010 at Heritage House II Nursing Home at the age of 80. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 10am until religious services in the chapel at noon. Graveside services at Port Hudson National Cemetery at 1:30pm Friday. Survived by one daughter and soninlaw, Cynthia Soche Ducote Reginald Ducote of Baker two sons and a daughterinlaw, Anthony Joseph Socha Jr. of Baton Rouge, and Edwin Michael Dianne Socha of Gales Ferry, CT a brother and sisterinlaw, Richard Margie Williams of Houma and six grandchildren, Ian Matthew Socha of Maryland, Kasey L. Socha of Virginia Beach, VA, Kristin Socha Andros of Miami, Craig Socha of Gales Ferry, CT, and Troy Daniel Ducote Hannah Renee Ducote of Baker. Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Socha Sr, son David P. Socha two brothers, Walter Williams Jr. and Thomas Williams grandson, Reginald Ducote Jr, and her parents, Thelma Walter Williams Sr. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Special thanks to the staff of Life Source Hospice for such amazing care and compassion.
