Ted Tex Nolan, age 78, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Uriah, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Ted served in the US Air Force and was a retired pipeline welder. He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ted is survived by his wife of 59 years, Roger Lea Nolan; two daughters, Terri Lynn Moody of Missoula, MT and Leah Nolan; his son, Robert Wade Nolan; eight grandchildren, Michael Nolan, Amanda Nolan, Rory Moody Jr., Joshua Moody, Zachariah Moody, Amy Bakerowski, Maggie Richardson, and Mollie Richardson; nine great-grandchildren, Alice Nolan, Lyle Nolan, Michael Nolan Jr., Elijah Nolan, Natalie Nolan, Dillon Moody, Braydon Moody, Payton Moody, and Eli Bakersowski; his sister, Jimmy Lou Woodward; and two brothers, Van Nolan and Tony Nolan.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Dennis and Martez E. Nolan.
Visiting hours will be observed at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, LA, Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 9:00am until 11:00am.
Religious services will be held in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 11:00am.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
