A loving wife and grandmother, and a soldier for God, Tammy went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her home in Zachary. She was 54, and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at First Baptist Church of Slaughter, Hwy 412, Slaughter, on Thursday March 13, from 59pm. Memorial services will be held on Friday March 14 at 11am at the church, conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker. Survived by husband of 35 years, Frank Robert Ashmore, Jr daughter, Mindy Marie Slaughter and husband Tommy four grandchildren, Katelynn Marie Katey Bugz Haydel, Hannah Brianne Nix, Jackson Dewayne Shankle, and Nathan Gene Ashmore, all of Zachary sister, Anita Thornton of Holden and brother, Frank Causey and wife Terry of Ethel. Preceded in death by son, Jarrod Robert Ashmore brother, James Wayne Causey, father, James Willard Causey mother, Ann Marie Goode Causey sisterinlaw, Hope Lenoir Ashmore and brotherinlaw, Tullie Thornton. Tammy had a heart of gold, loved fishing, and loved the Lord. She started a Facebook page called Those who are Tools for the Lord, where she shared daily scripture, and ministered to people all over the world. She truly was a warrior for God, and touched peoples lives nationwide. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
