Sylvia Simoneaux

Sylvia Lorraine Simoneaux, 87 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 17, 2021, at Baton Rouge General, Bluebonnet. She entered this world on February 18, 1934, born to William and Frances Bennett in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Sylvia is survived by her 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Simoneaux, of Baker, and Brenda and Donnie Wallace, of Pride; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald M. Jr. and Oggie Simoneaux, of Baton Rouge, and Walter Simoneaux, of Slaughter; eight grandchildren, Donnie Wallace, Jr., Nick Simoneaux, Kevin Simoneaux, Billy Simoneaux, Stephanie Jordan, Dawn Dillon, Jenny Champagne, and Ashley Cobb, 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Simoneaux, Sr.; father, William Walter Bennett; mother, Frances Victoria Marionneaux Bennett; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter; 1 sister; and 4 brothers.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the selfless service Renee Simoneaux provided for their mother.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Shelley Joseph. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
