Susie Swearingen

A resident of Denham Springs, she went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2013. She was 90, born December 27, 1922 in East Baton Rouge Parish. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 10:30am, officiated by her son. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. She is survived by a son and daughterinlaw, Sheldon and Kay Swearingen of Denham Springs six grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walton Swearingen two children, Betty and Henry one brother, and four sisters. Susie was a faithful Baptist all of her life, and loved the Lord. She was a 1939 graduate of Central High School. Those who love her will forever be comforted in the warmth of her memory and her homemade quilts.
