Steve Testa

Steve Peter Testa, 83 years old, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on July 18, 1937, born to Steve and Mary Testa, in White Castle, LA. He was a faithful member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Steve is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sheri Testa Eskelund and Ronnie Eskelund, Jr. of Dade City, Florida; two grandchildren, Melissa Bennett and Steven Eskelund; and two great- grandchildren; brother, Tommy Testa; long time friend, Betty Juneau; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Langlois Testa; father, Steve Julio Testa; mother, Mary Anastasio Testa; son, Jerry Douglas Bennett; brother, Samuel Testa; and sisters, Teresa Testa Bordelon and Mary Jean Testa Doiron.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Doiron, Tommy Testa, John "Boo" Langlois, Albert "Puddin" Langlois, Jerry Langlois, and Carroll Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Langlois, Sammy Anastasio, CJ Martinez, Ron Navarra, and Gene Campbell.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Monday, June 14, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will continue at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
