Stephen Reed, Sr.

Stephen Larry Reed, Sr., 64, beloved husband, father and grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on September 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on February 10, 1953, born to Harry and Peggy Reed in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a hard worker, avid LSU fan and enjoyed fishing. He will always be known for his whitty demeanor and always able to make people laugh. He loved a good game of spades.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Stacey Russell Reed; 2 daughters, Shannon Dawson and husband, Robert and Sunny Lee; son, Stephen L. Reed, Jr. and wife, Crystal; 11 grandchildren, Robbie Dawson, Jeremy Dawson, Elizabeth Dawson, Tyler Milton, Brooklynn Lee, Hunter Lee, Trey Reed, Jacob Reed, Paul Shelton, Andrew Shelton and Isaiah Shelton; 2 sisters, Cheryl Dampeer and Jan Ramezan; and uncle, Scott Schoenbrodt.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Stephen and Peggy Schoenbrodt Reed.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Dawson, Jeremy Dawson, Trey Reed, Tyler Milton, Kevin Damper, Michael Damper, Jeff Ramezan and Jason Ramezan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Ramezan and David Russell.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Garlin Mizell. The burial and graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA.
