WHITESIDE, Stanley E.
A retired operator with US Steel, and a native of Lottie, LA, he passed away at 8:45am Saturday, August 21, 2010 at his home. He was 86, a resident of Baker, and a US Army veteran. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Monday, August 23, 2010 from 59pm, and on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 8am until religious services in the chapel at 10am. Interment to folllow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by one daughter soninlaw, Sandra and Jack Miller of Albany two sons and two daughtersinlaw, Michael Whiteside of Gonzales Clarence Violet Whiteside of St. Gabriel and Pam Whiteside of Dallas, TX two sisters, Gladys McCreight of Laurel, MS, and Joyce Kuber of Opelousas six grandchildren five great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Voncille Whiteside a son, David Whiteside and two brothers, David Milton Whiteside and Morgan Stevens. Stanley was a member and deacon of Harding Street Baptist Church for many years.
