Shirley Norton

A resident of Baker, she passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 77, and a native of Zachary. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 59pm, and on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by a daughter, Tammy Norton Moseley of Cypress, Texas two sons and daughtersinlaw, David and Chin Norton of Central, and Donnie and Nicki Norton of The Woodlands, Texas a grandson, Jeffrey Norton a great granddaughter, Sophie Marie Norton two sisters and brothersinlaw, Alice DeLatte Welch and Marion Welch of Zachary, and Melba DeLatte Fontenot and Richard Fontenot of Denham Springs and a brother and sisterinlaw, Alfred Leonard and Mary DeLatte of Baker. Preceded in death by husband, Torris David Norton two brothers, Wallace Lionel DeLatte and John Boyd and her parents, Lawrence and Marguerite McClure DeLatte. Pallbearers will be David Lee, Jeffrey Norton, Robert Roth, Charles Pollar, Richard Fontenot, and Tyler Albers. Shirley was a member of C.O.A. in Central, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
