Shauna Cornes

Shauna Kay Caudill Cornes, 59, a resident of Baker, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 2, 2017. She entered this world on April 29, 1957 in Douglas, Arizona. She had a gift of making everyone around her feel special because of her kindness and thoughtfulness.

Shauna is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, David Milton Cornes; daughter, Erin Cornes Garrett and husband Karl; son, Matthew David Cornes and wife Loree; grandchildren, Elyzabeth Michelle Garrett, Kaylee Aleece Garrett, Garrett Thomas Cornes and Gavin David Cornes; mother, Macel Caudill. She is also survived by her brother, Daryl Caudill; and sister, Lauren Finch.

Shauna is preceded in death by her father, Vide Caudill.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, LA, on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until her celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. followed by the graveside service and burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. The service will be conducted by Reverend Danny Allen of Oikos Ministries.
