Sandra Hutchens, 75 passed away in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, August 15, 2020.
Sandra Hutchens was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved fishing, the outdoors, family cookouts and gatherings, and just sharing life with others. She was also an amazing artist and a wonderful cook that always made sure everyone was well fed. In Louisiana, she was the first collision shop manager and shop owner to be female. Sandra was the sole owner of Cajun Collision Inc. of Baton Rouge, LA. She fought hard for people’s rights that had little or no voice without any concern of the consequences of her actions. She was a firm believer in freedom and loved our Country very much. She touched many lives and hearts and will be missed by everyone that has ever had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Larry Hutchens; father, Edward Bethel Etheredge and mother, Juanita Etheredge.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Hutchens, Jr. (Mary Jo Hutchens) and Kelly Hutchens (Rebecca Glosup); sisters, Brenda Erdwins and Chris Hasty; daughter-in-law, Heather Newman; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
