A native of Butte LaRose and a resident of Baker, Ruth passed away at her home on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 7:14am at the age of 75. She was born September 30, 1938, to the late Clarence Hotard, Sr. and Goldie Stewart Hotard. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dudley J. Delahoussaye daughter and soninlaw, Melany and Mark Roberts son and daughterinlaw, Perry J. and Jann Delahoussaye grandchildren, Erin Delahoussaye, Patrick Roberts, Michael Roberts and wife Carley, Leslie Delahoussaye, Andrew Roberts, and Rachel Roberts great grandsons, Trey and Tyler Long two brothers and sistersinlaw, Riley and Elsie Hotard, and Jun and Diane Hotard and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Boudreaux and Marion Breaux and her parents. Pallbearers will be Patrick, Michael and Andrew Roberts, Troy Hotard, Terry Begnaud, and Kyle Comeaux. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, November 12, from 58pm, and on Wednesday, November 13, from 8:009:30am. Precession will follow to St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, celebrated by Fr. Frank Bass and Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Special thanks to Ruths dear friend, Margaret Duck her caregivers at Home Instead and Generations Hospice.
