ADAMS, Ruth Cook

A resident of Baker, and a retired insurance salesperson, Ruth Cook Adams passed away at 5:05pm on Mon. Feb. 22, 2010 at her home. She was 82 and a native of Crisp County, Georgia. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 from 59pm, and on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her son and daughterinlaw, John Phyllis Adams of Baker a sister, Betty Nicolai of Baker 11 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mollie Bell Cook father, Lester Cook, stepmother, Nita Webb Cook stepsister, Deborah Stephenson, and a grandson, Ketih Higdon. Pallbearers will be Dennis Nicolai, Mark Adams, and members of Harding Street Baptist Church, where Ruth was a member. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harding Street Baptist Church, 4345 Harding Street, Baker, LA 70714.
