It is with deep sadness that the family of Russell F. Drinnon announce his passing on March 27, 2013 at his home in Watson at the age of 75. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 55 years, Betty Jane Drinnon their daughter Wretha Carpenter and husband Carl son Jesse Drinnon and wife Karen and four grandchildren, Andrew and Jacob Ball, and Dustin and Chelsea Drinnon. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother in law, Ruby Zahn, Reba Yarborough and husband Jack, and Jessie Ruth Trentham numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and long time friend, W. L. Baker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse J. and Ara Drinnon a brother, L. R. Drinnon and three sisters Nancy L. Bryant, Elsie Scott and Etta Medford. Russell served in the U. S. Army in the early sixties. He retired in 1994 after 37 years with Otis Elevator Co.United Technologies. He was a long time member of Harding Street Baptist Church where he served as the song leader and treasurer. Visitation will be held at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday March 29, 2013, from 58pm, and on Saturday, March 30, 2013, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, officiated by Rev. Phillip Parnell and Rev. George Scruggs, Jr. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
