Ruby Grace Van Crowson, 100 years old, loving mother, granny, great-granny, great-great granny and friend to so many, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her daughter's residence in Walnut, MS. She was born to George and Linnie Ethel Van on January 9, 1918, in Kentwood, LA. Ruby lived life to its fullest, always positive and grateful for every day. She loved going to church and singing the beautiful hymns with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Ruby loved her Louisiana roots and enjoyed watching LSU sports. She was always optimistic and was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Ruby is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Rego and husband Robert, of Hermitage, TN, Dorothy LeBlanc and husband Harold, of Baton Rouge, LA, and Beverly Sullivan and husband Larry, of Walnut , MS; ten grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Sidney Crowson, parents George Washington Van and Linnie Ethel Jones Van; and three brothers, Harty "Rip" Clifton Van; George Curry Van, and Harold Morris Van.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sullivan, Sr., Eric Nye, Doug Reding, Landon Nye, Easton Nye and Michael Sullivan, II.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral services honoring her life well lived at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Dr. A.W. Smart. The graveside service and burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
