Roland Langlois

Roland James "Jimmy" Langlois, Jr., 86 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Great-Great Grandfather, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 23, 2022. He was born on October 16, 1936, in Baton Rouge, born to Ruth Stiles Langlois and Roland Langlois, Sr. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Baker where he served as a Deacon, sang in the choir, and was the maintenance man for many years. He retired from EBR City Parish, enjoyed family gatherings, loved the Lord, his wife, cooking, and was a man of his word.

Jimmy is survived by his sons, Roland Langlois, III. and Donald Langlois; daughter, Tamer Tassin and husband, Stephen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Etta Crochet Langlois; grandson, D.J. Langlois; great-grandsons, Dathan Langlois, and Blade Hunt.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Tassin, Seth Tassin, Noel Stiles, Henry Green, BJ Yates, and Michell Blackwell.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at First Baptist Church Baker, 3213 Groom Road, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Cory Olivier. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
