II Timothy 4:78. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 62, and a former metal lather with Local 1098. Visiting at Foster Road Baptist Church, 11333 Foster Road, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 58pm, and on Friday, November 22, from 8am until religious services at 10am, conducted by Rev. Mike Morris. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by wife of 39 years, Theba Mallet Norris daughter, Cherie Griffith two sons and a daughterinlaw, Jason and Lacy Norris, and Cory Norris two sisters, Mona Kennard, and Lawanna Lavigne and husband Raymond two brothers, Ferrell Wayne Norris, Sr., and William H. Butch Norris five grandchildren, Ashley, Aiden, Kynlee, Clara, and Tristan motherinlaw, Ida Hardy Mallet aunts and uncles, Raymond and Jane Wood, and Marie Wood brothersinlaw and sistersinlaw, Hardy and Missy Mallet, Sheila and Robby Robinson, Robert and Donna Mallet, Sidney Mallet, and Ronnie and Brenda Mallet. Preceded in death by parents, Marquerite Wood and Loyal Norris brotherinlaw, Donald Ray Kennard and fatherinlaw, Lee M. Mallet. Pallbearers will be Aiden Norris, Tony Amedee, Mark Norris, Hardy Mallet, Raymond Lavigne, Darren Mallet, and Randy Harville. Rick was a 1969 graduate of Baker High School, and a member of Foster Road Baptist Church. He was an avid LSU sports fan, and a master gardener. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Feed the Children, or a charity of your choice.
