KILPATRICK, Richard L.
A resident of Baker and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Richard L. Kilpatrick passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 6:21pm at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center following a massive heart attack. He was 75, a native of Roanoke, and retired from Exxon Plastics. After retirement, he did maintenance parttime at the Heritage Museum in Baker. He attended McNeese State University, and served eight years with the Louisiana National Guard. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 58pm, and on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 8am until religious services in the chapel at 10am, conducted by Rev. Jay Avance. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lee Kilpatrick of Baker a daughter, Phyllis Trisler and husband John Adams of Baker two sons, Chuck Kilpatrick and wife Terri of Zachary, and Bryan Kilpatrick and wife Kelley of Winder, Georgia four grandchildren, Jessica Dunaway husband Jimmie Derek Trisler wife Kelsey, Joshua Kilpatrick wife Katie, and Ayla Kilpatrick fiancee Cody and four great grandchildren, Brock Dunaway, Kendall Ryan Trisler, and Aaden Kilpatrick. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Reeves and Dolly Kitchell, and his parents, Charles Heloise Kilpatrick. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker for 42 years, a member of the Cruisin Cajuns RV Club, and enjoyed fabrication. He was a true friend to all, and will be sadly missed.
