Retus Riles

A resident of Baker, and a native of Washington Parish, he passed away Friday, August 03, 2012 at 2:16am at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. He was 91, and a retired millwright with Local 729. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 69pm, and on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Dennis Allen and Bro. DeWitt Joey Guy. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by wife, Maxie Payne Riles daughter and soninlaw, Norma and Kenneth Thibodeaux five sons and daughtersinlaw, Jerry Retus and Candace Riles, Gary Robert and JoAnn Riles, Earl Walter and Ethel Riles, Michael Wayne and Michelle Riles, and Bobby Raymond and Cheryl Riles three sisters, Evelyn Holland, Elvie Moak, and Geraldine Williamson a sisterinlaw, Avie Riles 21 grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren and great, greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark, Garrett, Michael, Keith, Chad, and Tony Riles, Todd Thibodeaux, and Allen Peterson, Jr. Preceded in death by a sister, Erma Lou Williamson a brother, J.W. Riles and his parents, Esco and Rena Dedon Riles. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing.
