Ralph Murphy

A resident of Denham Springs, he passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. He was 77, and a native of Acme, LA. He was a retired ironworker, a US Navy Veteran, and an avid hunter. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, July 31 from 59pm, and on Thursday, August 1 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Lee Osteen. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by three daughters, Trish Johnson and husband Darrell, Becky Brumfield and husband Bret, and Karen Murphy and husband Ted Blizniak two sons, Mike Murphy and wife Linda, and Buck Murphy and wife Molly three sisters, Dorothy Dutton, D.J. Miller, and Pat Mann two brothers, Jimmy and Jack Murphy 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Gwen Murphy son, Toby Murphy brother, Austin Ray Snow and parents, Ralph and Thelma Wiley Murphy. Special thanks to the staff of Golden Age Nursing Home, especially Tina and Ashley.
