A resident of Baker, he died Sunday, January 08, 2012 at 3:56am at Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 88, a US Navy Veteran of WWII, and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jay Avance. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by three sons and daughtersinlaw, Larry Ralph Germany and Linda Baudier Germany, James Dyson Germany and Evelyn Guyban Germany, and John Harry Germany and Bernadette Riche Germany two brothers, Kirk Germany of Baton Rouge, and J.C. Germany of Port St. Lucie, FL six grandchildren, Laura Germany Russell, Tracy Germany DeOliveira, Jenna Germany Young, Dyson Andrew Germany, John Riche Germany, and Katherine Patricia Germany and eight great grandchildren, Grace, Sophie, Ethan and Estella DeOliveira, Zachary and Alayna Young, and Nicholas and Emily Russell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Jean Ferguson Germany. Pallbearers will be Dyson and Jack Germany, Mario DeOliveira, Brent Young, Don May, and David Ratcliff. Honorary pallbearer is Buck Ballard. Ralph was a retired member of the PGA, and the first golf professional at Dumas Golf Course. He was a graduate of LSU, and a member of First Baptist Church of Baker.
