Polly Wells

Pauline R. (Polly) Wells, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, born in Vicksburg, MS and a resident of Baker, LA, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the age of 82 at Ochsner Hospital. She enjoyed family, friends, reading her bible and going to church at Eastside Baptist Church in Zachary, LA.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James R. Wells; her children, Kay Wells Sanborn and husband Rusty of Tampa, FL, Jimmy Wells and wife De'Ann of Baker, LA, Ricky Wells and wife Julie of Fort Atkinson, WI, Sue Wells Granger and husband Richard of Walker, LA; grandchildren, Maureen Sanborn Cottom and husband Alex, Garrison Sanborn and wife Tara, Lindsey Wells Polozola and husband Josh, and Hunter Wells; great-grandchildren, Jayden Cabrera, Annabelle and Stella Cottom and Julianne Sanborn; and sisters Robbie Whitaker and Martha Whitehead.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jenna Leigh Wells; sister, Juanita Chemin; and brother, Pat Roberts.

The Lord blessed us with her passing on her sweet late granddaughters birthday!

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Keith Cox, with burial to follow at Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary, LA.
