A resident of Baker and a loving fianc, mother, and MiMi, Phyllis K. Trisler, passed away on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center Bluebonnet. She was 51, a native of Milton, Florida, and retired Personnel Director from the City of Baker. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 59pm, and on and on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11:am, conducted by Rev. George Scruggs. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her mother, Lee Kilpatrick fiancee, John Adams a daughter, Jessica Dunaway a son and daughter in law, Derek and Kelsey Trisler two brothers and sisters inlaw, Bryan and Kelley Kilpatrick, and Chuck and Terri Kilpatrick an aunt, Betty Nicolai a step son, Mark and wife Kim Adams two step daughters, Courtney Adams, and Kim Adams and fiancee George Stirling and six grandchildren, Brock Dunaway, Ryan and Kendall Trisler, Luke and Shelby Adams, and Courtney Withers. She was proceeded in death by her father, Richard Kilpatrick and mother inlaw, Ruth Adams. She was a member of Harding Street Baptist Church in Baker and long time member of First Baptist Church in Baker. She was a true friend to all, and a brave, strong fighter of breast cancer Special thanks to Drs. Bonner, Hanemann, Brier, Steven Gremillion, and Hixon and also to the entire staff at Baton Rouge General Medical Center Bluebonnet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in her honor.
