Pamela Hammons

Pamela Darlene Bennett Hammons "Pam", 62 years old, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, gained her truly deserved angel wings Wednesday, August 31, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was a long-time employee of the State of Louisiana. She loved to sit outside and watch the hummingbirds and birds, she also enjoyed watching LSU and Saints football. Most of all though, her family was everything to her.

Pam is survived by her loving husband of 44 1/2 years, Danny Hammons; daughters, Michelle Hammons, Tabitha Hammons (Jamie), Destiny Bozeman, and DeShaye Bozeman (Ricardo); grandchildren, Samantha and Cassidy Dunaway; great-grandchildren, Ricardo, Jr. and Devyn Gibson; sisters, Vickie and Gloria Smith; and numerous adopted children and nieces and nephews.

Pam is preceded in death by her son, Devon Bozeman; father, Frank "Sonny" Bennett; mother, Evelyn Smith; and brother, Mitchell Smith.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Hammons, Jamie Threeton, Ricardo Gibson, Anthony Dunaway, Johnny Bertucci, and Tavis Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, September 06, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Kentwood, Louisiana at 2:00 PM.
