Ollie Jean Bender, 79, a native of Ellisville, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at The Carpenter House, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Sand Hill Baptist Church in Ellisville, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Walley will officiate. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker and a devoted Christian who touched many hearts and lives in her walk with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Carrie Turner sisterinlaw, Hazel Turner and greatnephews, Johnathan Turner. She is survived by two daughters and sonsinlaw, Myra and Marlin Herbst and Martha and Ronney Blaney a son, James Gould a brother, Charles Turner a sister and brotherinlaw, Eva and Melvin Graves seven grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Baker. There will also be visitation from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Sand Hill Baptist Church in Ellisville. I have fought the good fight.
