Nelda Wallace

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2012. She was 68 years old. She was employed by ARC of Baton Rouge until her retirement. She is survived by her husband Jerry Wallace of Baton Rouge, a son and daughter in law Richard and Teri Myers of Baton Rouge, stepson and daughter in law Jeff and Debbie Wallace of Slaughter, stepdaughter Regina Wallace of Baton Rouge, and stepdaughter and son in law Dan and Rebecca Mitchell of Plano, Texas, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also has three surviving brothers, Juan Smith, Jimmy Smith and Roy Smith. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Myers of Baton Rouge and her parents Byron and Elizabeth Smith of Hattiesburg, MS.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, June 17, from 5:008:00 p.m., and Monday morning 9:0011:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home with religious services at 11am in Baker Funeral Home chapel conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Baker. Paulbearers for the funeral will be seven of Neldas grandsons. Donations can be made on behalf of Nelda to ARC of Baton Rouge.
