Nancy Cooper

Nancy Jean Swann Cooper, 64, a resident of Zachary, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. She was born into a military family at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois on April 5, 1951. Nancy was a free spirit and danced to her own music. She loved gardening and animals, and gave great advice. She and William lived life to the fullest, and she will be deeply missed.

Nancy is survived by husband of 28 years, William "Coop" Cooper; daughter, Christy Cooper; son, William Ashley Cooper; sister, Jill Smith (husband David); brother, Garland Swann, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Mikayla Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Swann; and her parents, Lois Nell Bullock and Garland Darce Swann, Sr.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Saturday, January 23, from 10am until religious services in the chapel at 1pm.

Interment to follow in Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Arnold, Jody Arnold, Josh Arnold, Noah Garig, Billy Berger, and Ashley Cooper.
