Betty Kerry Nettles
An Angel went to heaven on February 12, 2015. She was a resident of Central for over 37 years. She was well known in the community, as Mrs. Betty, and always had a smile for everyone. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Billy Nettles; two daughters, Denise Major and husband Todd, and Kimberly Nettles; special friend, Darlene Abshire; four grandchildren, Hayden Major, Taylor Owens, Raygan Owens, and Sarah Scott; two great-grandchildren, Milo Scott and Pippa Scott; two sisters, Effie Everett and Venia House; a brother, John Kerry; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Betty was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her newest great-grandchild, Maevis Major.
Betty was preceded in death by parents, Arzene and Louvenia Kerry; two brothers, Pete Kerry and Gilmore Kerry; and two sisters, Willie Mae Edwards and Margaret McDaniel.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Saturday, February 14, from 11am until religious services in the chapel at 2pm. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, La.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Owens, Hayden Major, Cody Hewitt, Salvin Edwards, Todd Major, Percy Rome, III, and Darryl Etheridge.
