Morris Lee Jenkins, Jr. "M.L./Hank", a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Medical City of McKinney, Tx. He was 85 and a resident of Baker. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1951 until 1955. He then was employed by Gulf States, now Entergy and retired after 30 years of service.
Morris is survived by his 2 daughters, Christie Jenkins Mason of Frisco, Tx, Vicki Jenkins Reynolds and husband Mike of Delcambre, La.; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Hanks of Dallas, Tx, Malachi Mason of Frisco, Tx, Rebecca Reynolds and Jason Reynolds of Delcambre, La.; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Jenkins Reine and husband Joseph Allen "B.B."; 2 brothers, Charles C. Jenkins and wife Gwen, Hardy Jenkins and wife Patricia. He is also survived by his extended family, Barbara Spring, Kirk Spring and wife Darlene and their children, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Kimberly, and grandchild, Camden Datz.
Morris is preceded in death by his parents, Morris L. Jenkins, Sr. and Wessie; son, Morris Lee Jenkins, III "Skipper"; 2 grandsons, Brandon Reynolds and Kevin Reynolds; former wife and mother of his children, Mildred Arnold Park.
Pallbearers will be, Malachi Mason, Jason Reynolds, Butch Reine, Mike LeJeune, Kenny Jenkins, and Glenn Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearer will be, Marshall L. Jenkins.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd, Baker, on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., conducted by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
