Morris Heller, Jr., 68, a resident of Central, and a native of Trenton, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and a retired Industrial Maintenance Electrician with Westgate at Dow Chemical. He was a member of Life Church in Central, and enjoyed fly fishing, woodworking, gardening, and LSU baseball.
Morris is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Karen Simpson Heller; children, Leah Heller Todd (husband, Russ), Katherine Heller Vidrine, Jared Paul Heller, and Lauren Michelle Heller; five grandchildren, Kameron Heller, Keira Moore, Roman Vidrine, Haley Todd, and Allison Todd; siblings, Peter (wife Karen) Heller of Doylestown, PA, Janis (husband Brian) McCarthy of Philadelphia, PA, Martha (husband John) Coombs of Martinsburg, WV, and Laura (husband John) Downs of Winter Haven, FL; in-laws, Valerie Simpson, Edward "Woody" Simpson, Connie and Dennis Viola, and Edwin and Heidi Simpson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian C. Heller; and brothers, Billy and Duane Heller.
Family requests visiting hours be observed at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, December 22, from 5-9pm, and on Wednesday, December 23, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Pastors Nick Hager and Monty Lasseter. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
Serving as pallbearers are Jared Heller, Edward Simpson, Edwin Simpson, Jimmy Simeon, Joe Williams, and Joe Williams, Jr.
