Threeyear old daughter of Samuel Kasumi Plaisance of Zachary, Monet died on Monday, April 16, 2012 as a result of a swimming accident. She was a special little girl that changed the lives of everyone she met. Monets giving spirit allows her organs to live on in four other children who, without her gift, may not have lived much longer. Only 2 of all fatalities have organs that are viable for donation. Monet had 10 that were viable, but only four were able to be matched, with two more going towards research. Visiting will be on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 9:30am until graveside service at 10am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker. Collation to follow at the family home. Monet is survived by her parents brothers, Michael Sato and Matthew Naruto Plaisance grandparents, Clair Marie Chaney, Sammy Plaisance, Yoko and Tatuo Sato of Oita, Japan and numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and family friends. Monet was preceded in death by an infant brother, Matthew Kent Plaisance and a cousin, Jeremy Hewitt. Due to Monets incredible gift of life, the Zoe Foundation has established an account at Chase Bank in Zachary Account : 3030400765. Memorial donations will be used for Monets spirit to live on, and for the continuing education of the importance of organ donation, for children in particular. Monet is a strong JapaneseAmerican Girl.
