Milton Ardoin

ARDOIN, Milton John

Milton John Ardoin was born March 26, 1926 in Krotz Springs, LA. He joined the Navy in 1942 at the age of 16, and served on the USS Minneapolis, CA36. He was in 13 battles in the Pacific Theater and was in Tokyo Bay when Japan signed to surrender. He was discharged in 1946, and retired from the Carpenters Local. A resident of Central, he passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the age of 84. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Monday, April 19, 2010 from 59pm, and on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Charlene Heaton. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by two daughters and a soninlaw, Angie Joiner of Central, and Darlene Charles Efferson of Central two grandsons, David Harper wife Kris of Tacoma, Washington, and Stephen Vickers wife Gina of Hayes, North Carolina three great grandchildren, A.J. Harper, Caleena Harper, and Brandon Vickers second wife, Clydean Ardoin of Central a brother, J.E. Tokie Ardoin and wife Julia of Slidell and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Mogue Angelina Ardoin wife of 45 years, Myrtle Quirk Ardoin a brother, E.J. Snook Ardoin and soninlaw, Alvin Joiner. Pallbearers will be David Harper, Stephen Vickers, Charles Efferson Jr, Jason Duck, David Vincent, and A.J. Harper. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Vickers, Caleena Harper and Charles Efferson Sr. Special thanks to Lynn and Sherry with Life Sourse Hospice Group.
