Michele Mire

Michele Joy Mire, 71 years old, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 10, 2018. She entered this world on April 29, 1947, born to Shirley and Peter Christie, in Alameda, CA. She was a faithful member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Michele loved spending time on the road camping with her group "Dem Lazy Bonz", and doing crafts with her grandchildren.

Michele is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Lucien Mire, Jr.; mother, Shirley Christie; children, Christie Wilson and husband Rick, Miranda Mire-Criscione and husband Charles, David Mire and wife Rhette, and Jennifer Mire Hughes and husband Hank; 14 grandchildren, Noah Danburg, Jolie Wilson, Anthony Criscione, Mitchell Criscione, Luke Mire, Lucy Mire, Lillie Mae Mire, Landry Mire, Baileigh Hughes, Alexander Browning, William Browning, Jackson Browning, Benjamin Browning, and Karsyn Hughes.

Michele is preceded in death by her father, Peter Christie.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at St. Isidore Catholic Church, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service and burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, in Saint Martinville, Louisiana at 1:00 PM.
