RICHARDSON, Sr. Michael James


A resident of Zachary, he passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 1:20pm at his home. He was 58 and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was born in Gary, Indiana on May 28, 1951, and moved with his family to Zachary in 1980 to work for Union Tank Car Company, then worked many places over the years, including DCI and Port Hudson National Cemetery. He loved his family, and did everything he could to provide for them. He was a great husband, father, and Paw Paw. He was Cub Master for Pack 72 in Zachary, and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by Teresa Richardson three children, Michael Jr. and Jenny Richardson, Cordie Matthew Provenzano, and Arthur Kristine Richardson five grandchildren, Hanna, Colin, Harlan, Chloe, and AnnaClaire and six siblings, Patsy, Tim, Joe, Barb, Mark, Eddie. He was preceded in death by his parents John Jeanette Fouts Richardson. Services will be private at Port Hudson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America.
