Michael Oubre

Michael "Mike" Ray Oubre, 60, of Clinton Louisiana, went home with Jesus on March 18, 2023 at 8:29 a.m.
Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Paw Paw and Friend, these were only a few of the names we knew Mike by, he was so much more, but these are the titles that he was the happiest with. Mike was a fisherman who loved to fish, he was at home on the water and would have wanted to be on the water every day. His lawn was his canvas, he would spend hours just making sure it was perfect so he could enjoy the view from his front porch and look upon it with the smile of satisfaction on his face. He raised three daughters a hard job, and he did it with the iron fist that everyone knew him by, he was tough and he was hard, but he loved and he loved as hard and as tough as he was. For all of his tough and roughness that was not who he was to his grandchildren, he was devoted to them and loved them with his whole heart and he did what he could and even if he couldn't if they were in need he was there, not saying we wouldn't hear about it but he was always there, even if his answer was no, and he was not afraid of that word. Mike was a dog lover, you would never believe how he was with his animals he was a big soft teddy bear with them, he was a whole different Mike for his animals, and I want to mention his dog Moe, that was his son so it's fitting that he belongs in this one last tribute to Mike, because all of these things, made Mike, this is who he was and he is loved.

Mike is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sheryl Chamberlian Oubre; Daughters, April Crochet (Carlin Crochet), Ashely Oubre Washington (Rendell Washington), and Amanda Oubre; 8 Grandchildren, Amber, Larry, Raeanne, Jeremy Jr. (Jay), Jasper, Jordon, Angel, and Jayde; 3Great Grandchildren, Jadon, Jonah and Anna. His Mother Jeanette Millagan, Father, Alcide Oubre (Joan Oubre) and Brother Kenny Oubre.

Mike is preceded in death by, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents and his brother, Barry Oubre

Memorial is to be determined on a later date.

Mike would not want anyone to mourn him, he knows we will but he's gonna be annoyed that we are, I don't think he knew just how important he was, his tough exterior hid so much more than a lot of people seen he was human and he did make mistakes, but he never quit, but he was tired and ready to rest. Until we see you again with love always...
