Maxine Ferguson Lambert Kinchen
Maxine Kinchen, 84, a resident of Baker and a native of New Orleans, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. She was a retired Civil Designer Draftsman for several engineering firms. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and a member of the Baton Rouge Orchid Society, having won many awards for her orchids.
Maxine is survived by three children, Debra L. Broadhurst; Lorie Lambert Verbois (husband Mark), and Leo J. Lambert, III (wife Bonnie); granddaughter, Natalie M. Verbois; four step-children, Roger Kinchen, Jr. (wife Barbie), Cindy Kinchen, Sherry K. Garcia (husband Ralph), and Mitch Kinchen; seven step-grandchildren, Jason Kinchen, Amanda, David, Jennifer, and Tony, David "Sam" Sellars, and Travis Sellars; and a niece, Michelle Tims.
She was preceded in death by husband, Roger Kinchen, Sr.; grandson, Brad Jacob Broadhurst; sister, Betty Hostetter; brothers, Danny and Henry Ferguson; and her parents, Henry and Daisy Ferguson.
Visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, January 10, from 4-8pm, and on Monday, January 11, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
Serving as pallbearers are Leo Lambert, Mark Verbois, Jason Kinchen, Mark Tims, Stephen Tims, and David "Sam" Sellars.
